Several Washingtonians who took part in the January 6, 2021, insurrection on the nation’s Capitol, some of whom are running for elected office, are hosting a Town Hall candidate fundraiser on May 17. This event will be filled with propaganda and attempts to rewrite history from that day.
“What really happened? Come hear the other side,” the event flyer states.
The four speakers will discuss how they were “improperly imprisoned,” “raided and investigated,” and “harassed by federal authorities.” They will also talk about “election integrity,” and their experiences from that day and how they seek to hold the government accountable.
The event will take place at the Hess Hacienda, a private alpaca farm and rental space, located at 19235 73rd Avenue NE, Kenmore, WA 98028. It will begin at 2 p.m. and run for approximately two hours.
JoAnn Tolentino is hosting this event, which kicks-off her campaign for State Representative of the 45th Legislative District. Last year, she ran for a director position at the North Shore School District and lost. Tolentino is anti-Trans, pro fossil fuels, and supporting targeting undocumented immigrants.
Taylor Johnson, who claims to be the Washington resident who served the most prison time for partaking in the January 6 insurrection, will also be speaking, as will Port Orchard native, John M. Cameron. Cameron spent 19 minutes in the U.S. Capitol building that day, and pleaded guilty. He was sentenced to three years of probation, which included 30 days of “intermittent confinement,” according to the Associated Press.
Lastly, a Trump-endorsed candidate to the U.S. House of Representatives is Jerrod Sessler, a former NASCAR driver who served in the Navy. Sessler is full-blown MAGA and is anti-Trans and pro-life.
