Over 1,000 people marched from Cal Anderson Park to South Lake Union this sunshiny May Day to express support for workers rights. Speakers at Cal emphasized the need for solidarity among the working class with an emphasis on migrant workers, and people proudly held signs, banners, and flags as they walked through the city loudly. “It is important for the ruling class to know workers move this city. It is migrant workers who take the most horrible of jobs for the least amount of pay. This country was built off of the back of enslaved African people,” one person in the crowd shouted into their megaphone.
