Puppy killer KKKristi Noem relieved of DHS Secretary duties but threats still loom ahead

Puppy killer KKKristi Noem relieved of DHS Secretary duties but threats still loom ahead
March 5, 2026

By Hannah Saunders

Today, Trump fired 14-month-old puppy murderer Kristi Noem from her DHS Secretary position, likely due to growing scrutiny and public outcry in the past year over ICE’s escalating violence and cold-blooded executions. Now, staunch Senator Markwayne Mullin (R- OK) is stepping up to take her place, bringing along his anti-LGBTQIA+ and anti-abortion ideologies.

“Secretary Noem’s legacy is one of racial profiling, abuse by ICE and CBP, free speech violations, and more,” the ACLU stated.” “While she is leaving DHS, the anti-immigrant policies devised by White House aide Stephen Miller aren’t. Congress must remain firm and deny funding to DHS until they truly rein in ICE.”

Noem will continue to “keep America safe” by reassignment as the Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas – Western Hemisphere, according to a DHS press release. She will now work alongside Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to allegedly attack cartels.

The White House tweeted an article from Voz about a Shield of Americas Summit taking place in Miami, where on March 7, Trump is set to meet with several country leaders to build on his ‘Donroe Doctrine,’ to allegedly create greater safety and security throughout the region. The Donroe Doctrine focuses on the U.S. dominating the Western Hemisphere, and includes efforts like renaming the Gulf of Mexico, and threats to steal Greenland, to name a few.

According to the Associated Press, Noem will attend the Shield of Americas Summit, as will country leaders of Argentina; Bolivia; Chile; Costa Rica; the Dominican Republic; Ecuador; El Salvador; Honduras; Panama; Paraguay; and Trinidad and Tobago. The Voz article states that Guyana President Mohaed Irfaan Ali will also be at the event.

“The Western Hemisphere is absolutely critical for U.S. security. In this new role, I will be able to build on the partnerships and national security expertise, I forged over my time as Secretary of Homeland Security,” Noem said.

Replacement Sen. Mullin is proud of dedicating 13 years to the House and Senate, and claimed Trump has been the most successful president at securing the U.S. border in history.

“I am grateful to President Trump for nominating me to lead the U.S. Department of Homeland Security,” he said. “I look forward to earning the support of my colleagues in the Senate and carrying out President Trump’s mission alongside the department’s many capable agencies and the thousands of patriots who keep us safe every day.”

The Tulsa native’s first name, Markwayne, comes from a mash-up between his two paternal uncles’ names, and he believes in making all abortion illegal, including incidents of incest and rape, or if the birthing person’s life is at risk. He’s also previously signed on to legislation, like the Protect Women’s Sports Act, that targets Trans people, with attacks on the community spiking and some getting kidnapped and thrown into ICE immigrant prison camps.

“Markwayne will work tirelessly to Keep our Border Secure, Stop Migrant Crime, Murderers, and other Criminals from illegally entering our Country, End the Scourage of Illegal Drugs and, MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN. Markwayne will make a spectacular Secretary of Homeland Security,” Trump tweeted.

Really grateful that Amos Barshad from Columbia Journalism Review (CJR) picked up our reporting on propagandists use of Meta glasses, and took the time to interview us. "The Stadium District cameras will be activated during the FIFA World Cup tournament," Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson said, walking back another promise. Happy Pride Month! We've slowed down coverage this week to decompress, but we've got an abundance of articles on our website, ThroughtheStatic.org (link in bio), so go and give them a read! This past sunny Sunday, dozens of concerned community members gathered at Gas Works Park to protest weapons manufacturer, Anduril Industries, which is building military drones in the Lake Washington Ship Canal. With some on land and others on about 11 kayaks, demonstrators denounced the genocide in Palestine and the war in Iran, which they said Anduril is complicit in. On land and water, Seattle activists are currently protesting weapons manufacturer, Anduril, which is building drones in the ship canal. Spotted on The Ave (University Way NE) in Seattle's U-District
