On Wednesday, November 19, ICE kidnapped a 9-year-old boy who is a U.S. citizen and his mother when they attended a morning check-in, with plans on deporting them that night. The child and mother were forced on a flight to Mexico, and are recovering from the trauma they experienced, according to an Instagram post by Superfamilia_KC.
Some people went down to DHS Tukwila to demand their release. Several unmarked cars left the facility (the blue truck / Nissan Titan at 17:32 and the Acura sedan at 17:33), and agents were reportedly wearing gas masks.Activists said ICE claimed that they were headed to the airport and not the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma.
