Numerous actions were held outside of Seattle’s federal building on the late afternoon and evening of April 7. Earlier that day, Trump announced “a whole civilization will die tonight,” referencing Iran and its decision to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed off to the U.S. Eight masked ICE agents also kidnapped a migrant during their hearing at the building.

At 7 p.m., there was an autonomous action that brought back last year’s lime scooter and bike blockade on all four garage exits, which featured garbage and recycling. Later in the evening, tags began to pop up:
“ICE rape kids.”

Near the entrance on 2nd Ave, protesters held signs in front of the building and towards the street at cars driving by, with some drivers honking and cheering in support. Several SPD officers arrived to remove Lime scooters and trash at one of the garages.

Protesters and victims spent some of the evening shaming Bennett “Hayes” Haselton, who was booted from Seattle’s activism space for preying on teenagers and stalking women in 2020, a source told TtS. Since launching TtS, sources newer to the activism space have also told us that he has regularly been stalking women and following them at protests, including to their cars.

Nearly all protesters left by 9 p.m., and law enforcement began removing the blockades.
