With #SendBarron trending on social media, the push to send Trump’s 19-year-old son to war is only growing. Toby Morton, writer of South Park who also launches anti-fascist websites, is the creator of a new initiative, draftbarrontrump.com. And there’s another website that’s started a petition, sendbarrontrump.com.
“America is strong because its leaders are strong. President Trump proves that every day. Naturally, his son Barron is more than ready to defend the country his father so boldly commands. Service is honor. Strength is inherited. Dog Bless Barron,” the top of Morton’s website states.
The website’s ‘About Us’ section said it works to honor the “strongest and bravest voices in war,” and that “if you’re looking for proven genes, inherited courage, and unquestionable resolve, look no further than the Trump family.” Also included are two satirical testimonials from Trump and one from his son, Eric, who are portrayed as encouraging and proud of Barron’s military service.
The sendbarrontrump.com website is demanding that Barron and Trump’s other sons, Eric and Don Jr., be sent to the front lines of the war.
“ICE detains immigrants and tears families apart while the administration asks American Immigrants to fight its wars abroad. If the war in Iran is worth fighting— let the President’s own sons lead the charge,” the website states.
The petition’s goal is to garner 10,000 signatures, and at the time of reporting, seven people have signed on, with Ellie Morel writing, “I served my country. They need to serve theirs.”
