ICE disappeared Frank Yzaze Yegres, a community organizer of King County’s beloved Super Familia, which is demanding answers from elected officials about his location. In a February 10 social media post, Super Familia said Yegres was travelling to work in early January when ICE kidnapped him and locked him in Tacoma’s Northwest Detention Center for two months. But on February 4, Yegres was ordered to be removed by an immigration judge.
“Frank was supposed to be deported to Venezuela on Saturday, February 7th but instead ICE trafficked him to an unknown location and has reported him as in and out of ICE custody. The El Paso field office confirmed today that Frank has been trafficked twice in the last 3 days since disappearing from the NWDC in WA state where friends and family were visiting and communicating with him,” Super Familia stated. “The last update we received was that ICE has trafficked Frank out of WA state to a private holding facility in an unknown location with ICE field agents refusing to tell us his location.”
Super Familia said Yegres has not been heard from since February 6, and is encouraging community members to contact Washington’s elected officials, which can be done by visiting tinyurl.com/freefranknow. As of reporting, 2,647 people sent letters.
