The Tukwila-based and family-owned real estate developer, Sabey Corporation, signed a lease with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to help with its mission to expand concentration camps in nearly every state. Riverfront Technical Park in Tukwila is preparing to be another base for DHS.
Yesterday, WIRED broke news about these mass expansions after obtaining federal records over recent months, which showed that DHS and ICE have obtained 150 leases, including the one at Riverfront Technical Park. TtS reached out to Sabey Corporation and requested a comment; according to the receptionist, higher-ups aren’t issuing any statements, and she could not provide a comment due to the legalities of tenant agreements.
Dave Sabey is President and Chairman of Sabey Corporation, and John Sabey acts as CEO. The facility they’ve signed over is a whopping 175,000 sq ft, with a total of 180 surface parking spots and covered parking, according to its website.
“Riverfront Technical Park’s two stories offer efficient design, large open floor plans, a loading dock, and abundant parking. Ample electricity and fiber make it ideal for data intensive businesses including office, training or call centers,” the website states.
There are still seven available spaces in Riverfront Technical Park, according to its website, which include suite 105 on the first floor for $113,825 annually, and suite 200 on the second floor for $152,170 annually. Nearby the facility are numerous Hilton sister hotels, and protesters have previously called out the Hilton parent company for supporting ICE and DHS’s operations.
