For the past four years, Redmond Pride has been a focal event for the Eastside’s LGBTQIA+ community, but the event has outgrown the space in Downtown Park. Redmond Pride is relaunching in Kirkland this fall as Pride Across the Bridge (PAB) Pride.
“This beautiful location will allow us to host more vendors, artists, while staying passionately true to our values and Eastside roots,” PAB stated. “This move creates more room for everyone across our community to celebrate Pride in ways that are accessible, joyful, and value-aligned.’
Redmond Pride 2025 received applications from 115 vendors, 40 performers, and over 1,000 people attended the event. PAB will continue to host events in Redmond year-round, with over 250 annually.
The Diversity Alliance of the Puget Sound (DAPS) has partnered with Redmond Pride since its inception: during the first year, it advocated to have the event moved away from the Redmond Police Station, and helped establish the event as a police-free one embedded with safety and care.
“Before Redmond Pride this past summer, the City of Redmond silently rolled out ALRPs. We broke that news, alerted organizers, and shared it with the community. After listening to community feedback, we decided it would be our final year working in Redmond along with PAB. We had also been planning our own next chapter- shaped by community input, especially from the south end. So we will not be joining them in Kirkland. But for a very exciting reason.”
