On May 24, 2025, the Seattle Police Department brutalized members of the Queer community at Cal Anderson Park- named after WA’s first openly Gay state senator and which rests within the heart of the Gayborhoood. SPD beat and arrested community members for peacefully protesting a Christo-fascist and anti-Trans group, MayDay USA.

TtS obtained officer-worn body camera footage, which showed SPD sergeant Matthew Didier telling officers under his command that they were “past the point of talking to people. We are here to fuck people up.”

Join community members and activists at City Hall to demand that the Seattle City Council hold SPD accountable.

“People who call for violence against peaceful protesters should not be allowed to represent or police our city,” organizers say.

People are encouraged to bring protest signs and their voices to Seattle City Hall, located at 600 4th Ave, on January 20 at 1:30 p.m. Public comment begins at 2:00 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to prepare a 1–2 minute public comment for the council.
